Prof. Dr. Xiaoqing Zhang received her PhD degree from Tongji University, Shanghai, China in 2001. From 2001 to 2004, she worked as a post-doctoral at Darmstadt University of Technology, Darmstadt, Germany. Currently, she is a full professor at Tongji University. Her research interests are piezoelectric polymers and transducers based on piezoelectrets and electrets. Prof. Zhang was selected into the Shanghai Youth Science and Technology Star program in 2007, and selected into the Young Talents program of Tongji University twice in 2010 and 2013. Prof. Zhang hosted 2 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 project of Shanghai Natural Science Foundation, 1 project of Shanghai Youth Science and Technology star program, 1 project of Ministry of Education Overseas Returnees Research Fund, 2 projects of Tongji University-Qingpu Research Cooperation program, etc. She is now hosting 2 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Prof. Zhang has published hundreds of academic papers, and owned 12 patents. In 2015, she was invited as one of co-authors of “Electroactive Polymers”, and responsible for the piezoelectret part. She is also a science advisor of the academic committee of “International Symposium on Electrets”.
